I am a practising corporate lawyer in the City of London, but my passion has always been, and always will be, beauty. I have always been fascinated by the world of beauty and cosmetics since my early childhood. My mother, Julia, was a cosmetics and perfumery buyer in the 1980s, and as I grew up the house was always filled with special beauty items from around the world.
Throughout my teenage years and twenties, I expanded my knowledge about the beauty industry, becoming a voracious reader of beauty journalism, books and blogs. I also began to assemble a formidable arsenal of products and experimented with different looks and techniques. During my years at university, I spent a significant portion of my student loan each term on new products (much to my father's chagrin!) and took great pleasure in using friends as models for practice before our many nights out.
Since becoming a qualified solicitor, my interest in beauty has only increased. The thing that I enjoy most about each and every day in my busy life is putting my make-up on (and taking it off again in the evening!). I have also recently started to branch out into doing friends and family members make-up for special events, including my friend Sophie's makeup for her wedding day (see details of the look here) have also advised contacts marketing about social media strategy for beauty brands, helping them with a successful pitch for L'Oreal cosmetics.
Black Letter Beauty is here to answer all your product and technical questions as well as providing demonstrations of looks that can work for anyone. Please take a look at my contact page to see the specific services we offer and get in touch!
